PadminiPadmini Kolhapure - her glamor and acting has enthralled hindi film lovers. Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Prem Rog, Insaaf ka Tarazu - the list of hits goes on and on. But Awaaz Anjane listeners would discover a different Padmini. We present the singer in her through an interview taken by Kavita Chhibber (an extended interview is available on her website). Padmini talks about her entrance in Bollywood and about her premature exit, her total devotion to Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle and her favorite songs. Meet Sameer Thakur and Tushar Sathaye. The duo came out with a feature film Khel Shuru that won many recognitions in 2006 including being the official selection at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival and Thunderbird International Film Festival. A year later, the film has now become the “only NRI film to be rented on video-on-demand platform” of Google Video. In this episode, Sameer and Tushar share with us how the “game began”, how challenging was the making of this film and how their films tend to be different than the typical Bollywood movies.
